Perfect Stocking Stuffers from TownleyGirl

Stocking stuffers are a must have for the holiday season but most importantly, what kind?  Every year I like to load up my daughter's stocking with fun trinkets and event a little bit of makeup.  She is 8 this year, so its time we start getting a into the fun and glittery products!  Thank goodness TownleyGirl is here to save me with their Despicable Me 3 line of Lip Glosses and Nail Accessories!

Allyson has had so much fun playing with the glosses and doing her nails.  The flavors and colors available are perfect for her eight year old little heart.  Plus, took at these cute cases for the lip balms to be stored in.  They're great to carry around, even in their school bag.  No risk of losing that lip balm forever when its in it's case.   Now, I can make sure Ally keeps them in the case.  Any tips there? HA!

We had a few girls over to test out the nail polish and accessories.  Those girls loved that they could choose the color and put a star on at the end.  Each girl was able to show their personality!  We all know girls at this age are starting to figure out who they are and what they want.  This kit was perfect! 

Allyson's favorite item in this review ended up being the lip balms that look like minions in the video below!  Each one has a different flavor and color.   They do not have a taste but go on smooth!  

Christmas is right around the corner!  Sliding some TownleyGirl in your children's stocking is a great way to keep those smiles rolling on Christmas morning.

Collage.com to keep the Memories!

I've always said we need to take pictures.  Pictures of events, pictures of family and most importantly pictures of memories!  You might say these are all one in the same, but memories fade over time.  A good quality picture does not.

I am a big fan of pictures on the wall.  Since moving to Florida, I haven't been able to see the beautiful faces of my friends back home as much as I would like.   With the help of Collage.com, I now have them on my wall beside my bed.   I put all of their faces in one place and any time I'm feeling a little lonely, I can look at the pictures and memories coming flooding back!

Along with the "friends collage" I made for my bedroom wall, I made a blanket.  This blanket has pictures of Allyson in her first year of Girl Scouts.   I am so incredibly proud of her and how far she has come, so I chose to highlight this in a fuzzy blanket.  I love it!

It was easy to put together online.  You load your pictures and they have you arrange them.  Then you can pick if you'd like a background on the blanket.  I chose one that you can tell blends in nicely with the rest.

Hammacher Schlemmer : Chilled Wine for All Occasions!

Late a night when you've had a rough day and you're just trying to unwind, you don't want to find out that your favorite wine hasn't been chilled.  You have a family of what feels like 50 and there is never any room in the refrigerator for your wine... What do you do?  You get an Ultra Slim Wine Refrigerator!  That's what you do!

The Ultra Slim Wine Refrigerator is perfect for a home that only has a little bit of space.  As it stands on the floor, it can slide right in between the wall and the couch.  It has a home in the kitchen between the table and freezer.  Whatever your home makeup may be, there is a place.  

You'll find space for 18 bottles here but the ability to move the shelves around to accommodate bigger bottles is there.  If you are a fan of a few different types of wine, this refrigerator is made to have 2 temperature settings.  The top can be 54 while you have the bottom at 65!  Very handy, I tell you!  The front is a very reflective smoked-glass Thermopane door that is trimmed in stainless steel.  

While most people don't need to have 18 bottles of wine on hand at all times, this can also be a great place to chill your hard liquors.  If the bottle fits, slide it in there nicely!

Minions Movie

Do you enjoy golf?  When you live in the Golf Capital of the World, you pretty much have to love golf!  Pitchfix touts itself as the "World's Best Customizable Golf Products."  Pitchfix offers a wide range of high-quality golf products that can be personalized or customized with your company or event logo.

Original Gourmet: The Perfect Stocking Stuffer!

I have a very delicious answer for you!  You load up those babies with Original Gourmet candies!   This year, you have 2 options.  Stick with the old tried and true lollipops or take a brave yet delicious step forward and give them Squrtz.

Squrtz are a soft and smooth fruit flavored chewy candy with a juice burst!  This tasty little candy is perfect for your stocking and perfect to curb your sweet tooth!  It's soft and chewy with a nice little fruity surprise when you bite into it.  I'd be lying if I said only the children have been enjoying them.  Mom is a big fan too!

The flavors you will fine in the Squrtz pack include Apple, Strawberry, Orange, Raspberry, Lemon, and Cherry.  Strawberry is my favorite, hands down!  It's sweet and perfect as far as strawberry flavoring goes!

While I enjoy a nice cotton candy or bubble gum flavor, it looks like they've blown my socks right off and sent me a candy cane flavor for this holiday!  If you know anything about me and my love for Christmas, it is paired up with peppermint.  This lollipop is by far my favorite!!

Original Gourmet lollies are big and everything a lollipop should be!  The candy is hard yet flavorful.  There are times when we've had to store half of the lollipop in a baggie until later.  There is a remedy for this though.  They offer a smaller lollipop that is the perfect size for a one time sitting.    

You can pick up your lollipops at most of your local stores!  I love the displays at Walmart, right there at the check out!  They're delicious and worth it!  Sweeten up your holiday, just a little more!

Take your Buddy with you: Bright Time Buddies!

One of the cutest toys this holiday season has got to be the Bright Time Buddies.  These Buddies work great for both of my kids.   Sleeping with a light on is something I do as an adult, so I have sympathy when the children say they want a light on.  Of course we don't want the light going all night long, so why not give them something to cuddle with while the light is on?

Bright Time Buddies are The night light you can take with you!  They're perfect to sleep with or to add to playtime!  Available in a dog, unicorn, a lady bug and many more fun characters!

I have had the pleasure of playing with the dog and unicorn.  They're easy to turn on and will stay on for an hour without pressing the button again.  After that hour though, lights out!  This is ample time for a child to fall asleep, so it works great!

What's even better is if your Little has to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, they can take their Bright Time Buddy with them.  No more hurting your eyes when the light turns on!

You need a Snuggie in your Life!

I am usually cold.  When I lived in Kansas, there were times when I would shiver and shiver...  One Christmas Eve in particular I can remember driving back to our home from my Mother in Law's.  We had a great Christmas celebration with them but in typical Kansas fashion it decided to dump snow on us.   Allyson was just born and wouldn't stop crying.  The whole ride home... cry, cry, cry.  I get it.. I was cold too.  The inside of the car was rather toasty, but it was the bone chilling kind of cold.  I could have used a Snuggie that night.

Fast forward to living in Pennsylvania.... more snow, more cold.  Could have used a Snuggie there too.  Now that I live in Florida, there is no snow.  No bone chilling cold.  The air conditioner is on year round so, you guessed it...  I still needed a Snuggie!  I now have a Snuggie!!!

My new Snuggie is warm!  My new Snuggie is functional!  My new Snuggie is the envy of the children while we cuddle on the couch after a long day.  My new Snuggie is all mine!!!!

Snuggie: The blanket that has sleeves! Pretty brilliant if you ask me.  This is perfect for sitting on the couch, keeping your arms and hands warm while you have access to the remote.  No more reaching for something and your arm returns under the blanket being ice cold!  The length is perfect if you are planning to lay down.  I don't suggest trying to wear it while you move around the house.  I may have tripped once.  Don't worry about me! My arms were still warm on my fall!

Lugz Shifter Ripstop : Perfect for under the tree!

Picking out the right footwear is an important thing for anybody these days!  Do you wear tennis shoes?  Boots? Flip flops?  The possibilities are endless these days!  I am excited to share with you, my first pair of Lugz boots!  They're so cute and I love them!

The boots you see above are part of the new women's line of Lugz.  There are so many great choices in the women's line.  I've fallen in love with these boots and can't wait to try another pair. The Women's Shifter Ripstop have a nicely cushioned insole and padded tongue and collar.

They aren't heavy either!   The perfect weight for moving and shaking.  We all know how you like to get down!  I have to tell you how comfortable my feet are as well.  The insole is just what I would expect from Lugz.  After hours of wear, my feet were not tired.  These are now my go-to boots for my jean wear.

Lugz are made to be durable.  These look great with jeans, khaki pants or sweat pants!  Dress up or dress down... either way, put your Lugz on!  Whats even better... It's a Party in the Shower... WOW!

Who knew showering could be so much fun?  Fighting these kids to wash their bodies is a nightly chore.  I had no idea this would change if I put a little color in there!  The Shower WOW helped me win the fight!

I've found the perfect way to get my children under the water, washed up and well....  in the shower for a lot longer than before.  They don't want to get out now!  The water turned cold before Allyson said she was done last night.  I'd say that's about an hour.  Wowie, that child took a long shower!

The Shower WOW is very easy to install.  Screw off your old shower head and screw Shower WOW on.  There are no batteries required.  It is powered by your home's water pressure.  I did notice a little bit of a noise when the shower was on.  You can hear this thing working!

When I asked Allyson what her favorite part of the shower was, she said "when the colors rained down around me."   So, there you have it!  Want to see it in action?  I recorded a little video for you!

Crayola Cling Creator and Gift Card Giveaway

Decorating your home for Christmas, Birthdays, Spring, and whatever else if a highlight in your life is a ton of fun!  I like to involve the kids, so when Crayola came out with their new Cling Creator, I knew this would be a great addition to our home.

Okay, so.... This Cling Creator is pretty much awesome! We like to have decorations on the windows but now we don't have to rely on what they are selling at the store.  Allyson and Cooper can make their own!

The kit comes with everything that you'll need to make a cling.  If you aren't into working with the liquids to make a window cling, there is also clay to mold into a shape of your choice.  The tools needed to make the window cling can be seen below.  Blue, Red and Yellow Color Solution, Cling Solution, tools, Icon Molds, a Rolling pin, Shaker Maker and Mixing Pots to name just a few things in this box!

While there are a lot of things going on in this box, don't let it alarm you.   Follow the directions and your children will be using this creator without you!  It is so easy and so fun!  Allyson had the neighbor kids over and teaching them how to make different shapes.

Getting to work quickly and mixing up the colors was fun.  We made a game out of pushing the green Shaker Maker!  The faster it goes up and down, the faster your mix is made!  Both Allyson and Cooper were have a great time to see how many times they needed to mix up their colors.

As you can see above, there are different tiles that you can choose a shape on.  They range from lightning bolts to bugs.  A little something for everyone can be found.

Our first go round, I made a butterfly and bug.  After watching the kids put theirs together I wanted to see what would happen if you used a multi-color idea.  It was so easy to get the different colors.  The trick is to have them all made before you start to pour in the icon molds.

There isn't really a trick to getting the cling out of the mold.  There is a tool in your box that is made for just that!  Grab your multipurpose molding tool and slide it around the outside of the cling.

So if you haven't figured it out yet, we are a fan of the Crayola Cling Creator!  Keeping the clings on the window is the only problem.  This problem isn't caused by the Cling Creator though.  It's Cooper!!  That kid just won't leave them alone!  He takes it down and says "Mom, its time to make a new one!"

T-Shirts for any Occasion!

Graphic T-shirts are where it's at these days!   There is a shirt for everything!   Your favorite Christmas movie?  Your favorite TV show?  There are even shirts to support your favorite political representative.   Five Finger Tees have so many great options this holiday season!

It took a bit of time for me to decide on which prints were my favorite and what to share with you.  After looking through the website for what seemed like an hour, I chose a shirt that says "Free Hugs"!  This shirt has brought quite the smiles to children's faces as I wear it on any given day.

I apologize for looking a little rough here but I wore this shirt after a weekend of camping with 121 little girls.  In the first hour of being around the girls in this shirt, I counted 25 hugs.  Even from girls that didn't know me personally, they just came up and hugged.  It was the sweetest thing.  Everyone should own this shirt and get hugs!  It will warm your heart!

Disney Pixar's Inside Out

I have been raving about Disney and Pixar's newest dvd release since I first saw the trailer over a year ago.  My friend Amanda sent me a link and said "You're going to want to see this movie.  Watch this."   From that moment on the movie has not been too far from my mind.

Inside Out came out on DVD/Blu-Ray Combo this week!  I could not have been more excited to share this movie with my children.  Allyson and I went with our Girl Scout troop to see the movie, but sharing it with Cooper was a nice treat in itself.  It was a really great experience to see this movie with 8 little girls and their parents.  Of course we discussed their favorite characters after it was over.  Allyson's favorite was Anger.  Anger won for her because his hair catches on fire.

We even earned a patch for discussing our emotions and actions.  It was a really great experience.  That however isn't the end of our Inside Out story.

Joy is my favorite character.  I think there is a reason for this.  She is bubbly and always trying to find the greatness in things.  Always looking for the point where the situation can be happy instead of sad, disgusting, full of fear, or even turned to pure anger.  Let's not blow our tops here.   Joy keeps everyone together until well, she gets sucked up with Sadness and thrown to the archives.  I don't want to ruin the movie for you but Joy is my hero!  She stays positive through everything and manages fix things, but not without the help of her friends!

While Joy is being awesome and positive in the movie, I am working through life like that.  I rely on my friends and try to find the happy in every situation.  Life would be boring uneventful not fun if I sat around moping in the corner every day!  So, we push forward with Joy and slap that smile on our faces, right?

Sometimes we even throw our arms in the air and act like Joy!!

If you are among the few people that have not purchased your copy of Inside Out, I urge you.. Please do so.  Share it with your children, nephew, neighbors, the random people down the street... Anyone!  Everyone should experience what goes on at Headquarters and get to know Riley.

I love this movie and think it should be in everyone's home.  Of course you have probably picked up on that from my words, but really.  Pick up Inside Out and place it under your tree this holiday season.   Your children will thank you!
