Family Games are a huge part of our holiday traditions! This year I am sharing a few favorites with Cooper and Allyson. A little different than before, but the new versions of the games will bring smiles and little competition for sure! Wonder Forge is helping out with those smiles, for sure!
Star Wars seems to be in the forefront of everyone's mind and gift giving lately, so I thought the Star Wars Eye Found It! Hidden Picture Game would be perfect for Cooper. While playing, you get to explore a galaxy far, far away! This goes along great with what he has been talking about nonstop for the last 9 months. He'll be super excited when I show him the original movies! Until then, he'll settle for playing this really fun game. Unfortunately for me, I think he is on the Dark Side.
Olaf is also making an appearance this year! Where's Olaf Game is perfect for children who love Frozen and love a game of Hide and Seek! Olaf comes out of the box and you hide him around the house. The kids draw cards and head out to seek their favorite friends made of snowballs!
We are also throwing in a little Boulder Burst from Disney Junior's The Lion Guard! I grew up watching Simba and Nala in The Lion King and love that my children can watch The Lion Guard and love it as I did the older version. This game has you dropping a ball of "water" through the storm clouds. You carefully remove a boulder from the stack and how the dam doesn't BURST! So much fun!

As a girl I watched my mom pamper herself. She had makeup that she wore every day, blue eye shadow mind you, and so many tubes of lip gloss. She was always bringing home different colors of nail polish but I don't remember her nails ever being painted. Such a weird memory to have! Anyway, my daughter Allyson might have similar memories of me, but this time Mom's nails are painted! Ally and I love to do our nails together and even better when we can pamper ourselves and make those toes cute!
This Christmas we are spending a little bit of time with Frozen and Trolls products by Townleygirl. The My Beauty Spa Kit is perfect to pamper my little girl and make her feels so special. The perfect gift for my 8 year old daughter has dropped in my lap this holiday season! I grew up playing with Barbies and Allyson has done the same. As she is getting older and playing with the actual dolls isn't the "cool thing" anymore, she has started watching the show via Netflix. I am very excited to share these new novels with her as she is a lover of books and intertwining her love of Barbie with books, it really is a perfect gift for her!

In the second novel, "Puppy Party," Barbie and her sisters enter their puppies in a dog show. A pup gets lost in the city, which takes you on quite a fun adventure! Allyson enjoyed this one the most. I suspect the puppies had something to do with it. She has always been a sucker for puppies and kitties! Taffy is part of this story. Allyson has the Taffy dog with her Barbie Dolls, so seeing Taffy in her book made her quite excited.

Cracker Barrel has always been a family favorite around here. The home-style cooking and general atmosphere always brings back memories of my childhood. My children enjoy eating there because they get to play games while they wait for their food. As I've grown, I also notice myself appreciating the Old Country Store before and after our meal. My children enjoy rocking while I shop. I have the husband take them outside and rock away! Sometimes you can even find the large checker boards outside!
I noticed my Cracker Barrel Old Country Store also had Christmas cards! Growing up my mother always sent special cards to her favorite relatives. I have carried on this tradition and love getting my one of a kind cards for my favorites. I picked up a few this year while shopping in the Old Country Store.

Christmas music is something that always makes me feel a little closer to home. Every Thanksgiving after dinner is done, my Nannie would turn on any variety of holiday tunes, but the songs are always the same. We'd all sing along as we make new memories and remember the old ones. Music always brought us together and it continues to do so.
This year I am listening to Amy Grant's Tennessee Christmas. The song Tennessee Christmas has always been one that is close to my heart. Growing up, Alabama's version was a family favorite but as I am the adult now, I think I like Amy Grant's version best!

This year the children are decorating our house with homemade art work! With the help of Crayola, the kids have been leaving their mark! Preparing for Christmas is one of the most stressful things during the latter months of the year. Of course this is no news to you. We are half way through November and I am happy to say that I am well ahead of the schedule! My Christmas Tree is up and I have been scoping out stocking stuffers. The inside of my house is all decorated with decorations I found at my local Dollar Tree!
I love Dollar Tree for all of the essentials but also the products that take me back to my childhood. Every year my Grandma had a bowl of candy out at Christmas time. These candies were sweet, minty and perfect for a little girl's sweet tooth. The last couple of years I have been able to relive those memories with a can of these candies that I have found at Dollar Tree! What's even better is they have cute little dishes and candy holders for me to place that candy in!
You see, I go to Dollar Tree for my decorations because just look at all the options! They have great ornaments, tree skirts, wall hangings, Wreathes and much more. I try to be crafty during the holidays too, so I picked up a few clear balls.
Speaking of DIY ornaments, I am planning a Holiday Camp Out for Girl Scouts in a few weeks and we put in a large order on the Dollar Tree website for clear ornament balls. Above I mentioned above, I get my tree skirts every year at Dollar Tree. The product itself is good quality and they have cute patterns but the main reason I go there is my dog Danny. If you've been with us a while at Sweet Cheeks Adventures, you know that Danny is a large white dog that sheds like crazy! When I purchase my tree skirt at the Dollar Tree, it lasts all season and at the end of that season I can just throw it away. The dog hair has ruined it after its been out for 2 months. Every year I get a new one and I get to choose a different pattern if I choose!

Spending the Christmas Season watching holiday videos is one of my favorite past times! I have my favorites but this year Cooper has found his new favorite. Of course it is none other than the all-stars of Nick Jr in A Very Nick Jr. Christmas!
A Very Nick Jr. Christmas has 6 adventures! You can find Blaze and the Monster Machines, Shimmer and Shine, Dora and Friends, Bubble Guppies, and Wallykazam! Each character goes on their own adventure at Christmas time! These characters are so cute. I love how they have their personalities and own their own little piece of my favorite holiday!
Cooper and Allyson both sat down to watch this collection. Usually Cooper is the one to enjoy Blaze and Bubble Guppies but Ally was very happy to see Shimmer and Shine in the lineup. They each had a favorite episode. As usual its not the same one. Cooper loved "Monster Machine Christmas" by Blaze and the Monster Machines while Ally stayed true to her Shimmer and Shine girls in "Santa's Little Genies." We all know as parents that we have our favorites too, so I'm chiming in with "Snow Place Like Home" by Wallykazam! Wally and I seem to be on the same page every time! I love that little guy!
