Blue Ryder and Lizzie Barber are such a fun couple!  I loved getting to know them in Seized by Love.  I think Lizzie and I could be friends.  I could eat all of her leftover baked goods and we'd laugh and laugh.  Such a sweet girl that is willing to do what it takes to take care of her family.  Blue is a perfect match for Lizzie.   Such a hard worker and quite the hottie.  I'd probably break my oven just so he could come over and fix it!

After Blue asking Lizzie out on dates over and over again, she finally agrees to  hangout as friends but quickly realizes that she doesn't want to be just Blue's friend.  She has been fantasizing about him for over a year now.  Of course friends wouldn't do!  Sweet kisses turn into sleepovers and well, Melissa Foster knows how to write Romance!

In Seized by Love we got to go back to the Cape.  This is my favorite setting out of all that Melissa writes.  It's a great place to fall in love.   I urge you to pick up Seized by Love today!  As this is the first book in The Ryders, you'll fall for Blue, but his brothers aren't far behind!   I loved this book and I know you will too.

Seaside Nights by Melissa Foster

I've always said life at Seaside with the girls is a place I'd love to be.  When Sky Lacroux moved to town to help her father get back on his feet, I wasn't attached to her.  We didn't get to know her too well in the previous stories, but when I saw that Sky was getting her own book, I got super excited!  Finally, Sky would come together and Woah.....  with a boxer!  Yummy!

Sawyer Bass is just a guy who is trying to help his family.  He happens to be the boxer that Sky finds along the way... Or should I say they were brought together by the universe!  A boxer that sings and does handy work?  Sawyer Bass sounds like a dream come true.  

I really enjoyed reading Sky and Sawyer's story.  They're both dealing with their own problems but together they worked them out.  The communication between characters was refreshing to see.  No waiting around for the female to just get over herself.  Just a lot of working through thinks inside and out.  Loved it!   

If you haven't gotten to know the lovely couples in the Seaside cottages, you are missing out....  but you have to pick up this book and get to know Sky and Sawyer.  I am better for knowing them and you will be too!

Discovering Delilah by Melissa Foster

Discovering Delilah is my first experience with a story of same sex interest.  I'm not sure why I haven't read a story like this before but I absolutely loved it!   I already met Delilah and Ashley in Wyatt and Cassidy's story a few months ago but getting to know these two girls a little better was a treat.  

I related to Delilah a little as she was dealing with her parent's death.  However the anger that she holds on to and the guilt.. Oh the guilt!  I wanted to reach inside my Kindle and just hug her.  So many times she needed a hug and to learn that it is okay to be yourself no matter who the person and what you're struggling with.   

The journey these girls took to get where they are is amazing.  The pain, happiness, flirting, friendships and the time on the water!  I could go on and on about why I loved this book but I'll leave you with my favorite scene.   Delilah goes back home to take care of some loose ends at her parent's home.  On her way there her emotions come crashing to the surface and she can barely contain herself enough to continue home.  The way Melissa Foster wrote this scene, it cut me so deep.  It is raw.  You have to pick up this story just to read this scene.  Of course start at the beginning of the book because you'll love it, but oh my gosh.  Just read it already!

Healed by Love by Melissa Foster Book Review and Giveaway

Getting to know the first character in a new series is always really fun with Melissa Foster's books.  You get to know them but you also get a piece of the whole family.  I loved that about Healed by Love.  In this book we not only met Nate and Jewel, but their parents and siblings as well.  

Nate Braden is part of the Peaceful Harbor Braden clan.  He is cousin to the Bradens in Colorado, so you know that this boy has respect for all things.  Nate is ex-military and is dealing with his own demons when he returns home from active duty in Afghanistan.   He didn't return home to just anyone though.  He came home to family and most importantly the love of his life, Jewel Fisher.  

Jewel Fisher made me want to reach in the book and shake her.  Seriously.  Who goes hiking, gets injured and just lays out in the woods for hours waiting for what?  A Bear?  Her injury to be magically fixed?  Her knight in shining armor?  Well, lucky for her Nate Braden showed up and he couldn't have been any more knightly!  

As the story progresses the couple deals with some really heavy things.  There is death, love, responsibility, and a little fun on the water all wrapped up in a neat little package that is Healed by Love.  I really enjoyed this story.  Definitely pick it up and be Healed by Love!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I learned Melissa Foster was teaming up with Bella Andre for the series: Love on Rockwell Island.  If you are a frequent reader of this site, you know that I regularly read Melissa's books and enjoy them.  They make me feel like all is right in the world with love.  Bella Andre is a new author to me, but I'm learning she is not new when it comes to knowing about love and romance.  My book loving friend has quite a few of Bella's books on her shelf.  It seems I am behind on the times.  

I love getting to know a new pair in a new series.  Quinn Rockwell and Shelly Walters didn't take much time forming their love but they had a lot of fun doing it!  When Shelly Walters went on a solo honeymoon, she was expecting a week of relaxation and time to be with herself.  Little did she know that on her first night she would be drawn to the cove and take a dip in the water!  A skinny dip! 

Quinn Rockwell is on the island after he was beckoned by his cranky grandfather.   Trying to clear his head he goes out for a jog on the beach, only to find a woman swimming in the cove.  The fun is only beginning there!  Clamming, light houses, tree houses, a game of stickball and loads of love can be found in this read. 

Throughout Cape Cod Kisses I felt happiness, love and a sense of family.  It reminded me about how much fun it is to go home and visit not only my brother and sister but extended family.  Gather over coffee and share the great times.
