The Angry Little Puffin -- Book Review

The Angry Little Puffin is such a fun book!  I took the opportunity to make it into a life lesson as I read the story to my daughter.   Before I explain how I formed that lesson, I'd like to tell you a little about the book!

This book starts with The Angry Little Puffin that is so upset because people think he is a penguin.  He is outraged and shares with you just why he is not a penguin!  

This little guy is so cute!  I love the illustrations and the emotion written.  I had so much fun reading this to my children.  The puffin is so angry, he conveys his anger through the words in the book. I took the anger The Angry Little Puffin had and used it to explain to my daughter just how bad he was feeling.  He feels so bad because no one is recognizing him as who he really is, but something that he is not.  We spoke about honesty and self worth.  Using such a cute book and a great story to convey these lessons was a great hit with Allyson.
