Celebrating with Namaste Foods -- Namaste Foods Review

There are so many reasons to go Gluten Free these days.  You may have an intolerance or even flat out allergy to the stuff.  Being a recently diagnosed Gluten Intolerance person, I have been on the search for great options to keep my family and myself healthy.  This is how Namaste Foods has made my days a little brighter!

We are a small (but growing!) manufacturer of fine foods that contain no wheat, gluten, corn, soy, potato, dairy, casein, peanuts or tree nuts. In business since 2000, we continue to strive to be the best at what we do so that you can enjoy all the foods you’ve known and loved all your life.

Our approach has always been very "grassroots" in nature. When we first started, we didn’t have the money to hire advertising firms, public relations people and expensive brokers like everyone else does so we just started reaching out to people through various support groups such as Celiac Support groups, Autism support groups, food allergy support groups and the like. We sent samples for their members to try and Voila! – people loved our products and started requesting us at their local store. And a company was born . . .

I was given the chance to tell you guys about Namaste Food's Cookie Mix and Spice Cake Mix. Both are absolutely delicious and so easy to whip together!  The instructions on the package includes a list of what you will need to add to the mix and with detailed instructions on how to prepare the goods.

With the Cookie Mix you simply add in a large bowl the mix, eggs, water and oil.  BAM!  Cookies all mixed up!  What's also great about the batter was it was thick enough to use cookie cutters without having to add anything.  Ally and I had a great time making Christmas Cookies.

I loved that we could do it together and enjoy these gluten free snacks!  Plus they are so good!

While baking my Namaste Foods Cookies, they came out a little fluffier than your typical sugar cookie.  I enjoyed this a little more than the typical cookie because fluffier means more moist!  I love soft cookies!  I was very happy to see how soft these turned out!  They cooled quickly and I dressed them in no time.   I am also sad to report that not many of these goodies are left.  So good, the kids just couldn't pass them up!  Of course I had my fair share as well.. Maybe a few too many!

Onto the Spice Cake Mix!  I used this cake mix to help celebrate my Mom's birthday last month. She is no longer with us, but we will celebrate every year.  This year I thought I'd call in Namaste Foods to help with part of the celebration!    Below is a picture of my Mom and I from a few years ago...

Just as the Cookie Mix, the Spice Cake Mix was super easy to mix together.  Mix the powder mix, eggs, oil and water and you're good to go!  This cake took a little longer than I expected to bake, but then again I may have just been too excited to wait too long. The packaging recommends using two 9" pans, but I went with a deep 8" pan.  The cake baked for about an hour, but it came out perfect!

Right along with coming out of the oven and pan perfectly, the cake was rather moist!  Ally and I decorated it very simply with lemon frosting and sprinkles.  I don't know that my mom would have enjoyed those flavors, but we sure did!   I even had a piece with some chocolate ice cream.

I am so grateful for Namaste Foods.  They have developed a product that allows people with certain allergies enjoy the goodies that we otherwise would be missing out on.  To get a little bit of Namaste Foods in your life, check them out online and on social media!

  1. I love a nice, moist cookie. I always hate it when I make cookies and they're flat & hard - so I should definitley try this.

  6. I have several friends who have gone GF for health reasons, so it's really refreshing to see so many affordable and delicious options popping up onto the market for those who can't consume gluten. I bet those cookies taste just as great as their "regular" counterparts.
