Patience...... Are you there?

Patience is defined as the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.  Most of the time I can say that I am decently patient with the world.  I've learned over the years that waiting is something I would have to get used to.  I used to wait for my turn as growing up the 3rd child, wait for my turn in school, wait for the right job to come along, and even wait for the loves of my life to show up!  Patience and waiting have surely paid off for me.

I am one of the most blessed people I have ever met.  I am so thankful for everything I have in life.  My loving husband, my 2 beautiful and healthy children and even these 2 smelly dogs make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.  Not many people get to stay home and be with their children and play all day.  That being said, I have to work really hard to make sure my patience comes out before everything else.  My children will never say that I didn't let them get down and dirty with crafts, dirt, or even a good cupcake! Its always been a goal of mine to step back and let the kids develop their own personalities and learn their own lessons.  So far, everything has turned out okay.  No broken bones, no marbles in the nose, and lots of love in their hearts!

When it comes time to clean up our messes the patience comes in handy. Especially when I am scrubbing the kitchen floor and Ally think she is helping by dumping a full bucket of water all over the floor.  At that point its all I can do to contain the laugh that may or may not have made me sound like a madwoman.  So, if you can image a person trying to muster up enough coordination to not fall flat on my face and just make it to the carpet... Just one more step!

Potty Training......  That's a whole different of set of patience.  I am asking the Patience Gods today to give me a little extra to get through this....  Potty Training this boy is going to be the end of my sanity, I am sure of it!  He knows when he needs to go, but refuses to go on the potty.  We read books, play with cars, eat cookies...  Yes, I fed the kid a cookie to get him to focus on something other than the potty.  None of these things are working.
Please help me find that patience to remain calm every time we sit in the bathroom for 30 minutes when nothing comes out, help me find the patience to clean yet another spot off the carpet, and help me find the patience to smile through all of this.  Potty Training a girl is WAY easier in my opinion!!!!

I'm just asking for a little more patience...........
