It has been a struggle for me to find a bread that I can
enjoy that is Gluten Free. Usually I am
finding that GF breads crumble in my
mouth as I am chewing them. Sometimes to
the extent that I feel I need to spit out what has just turned to mush while I
was eating it. If you can imagine what
grits look like, yeah… There you go!
Canyon Bakehouse gave my family a chance to try 4 of their
products. There are many options for
you to try, but I am so pleased! They
sent me 3 types of bread, Mountain White bread, 7-Grain bread and Cinnamon
Raisin bread. The fourth product sent
was Cranberry Canyon Crunch Muffins!
I have been enjoying the cinnamon raisin bread for breakfast most days since I received these breads in the mail! The texture is very close to a normal bread and the flavor is delicious. While I am glad to see the label Gluten Free on the package, the bread is playing tricks with my mind! My mind thought it would not be too great and I like it so much. Some days I have a little butter and some I add some grape jelly!
The little bits of raisin are so great! Pockets of cinnamon add just enough spice so your taste buds will be asking you for more! This bread is great straight out of the bag or toasted! My new favorite breakfast, for sure!
The Mountain White and 7-Grain breads has put a smile on my face a time or two! I typically don't purchase Gluten Free bread in the store because it always disappoints. There have been a few that could pass as "I might eat this again," but most are horrendous! That is not the result with Canyon Bakehouse! Canyon Bakehouse is soft on the inside, crusty on the outside, and the best part -- It doesn't turn to nasty disintegrated mush in my mouth while I'm eating it! Both breads are made with whole grains and are quite filling!
Finally I want to tell you about the Cranberry Canyon Crunch Muffins! First let me tell you, I haven't had a muffin in about a year. When I was diagnosed with Gluten Intolerance, I stopped eating all the yummy pastries, breads and other yummy foods I was taking for granted. Finding the Cranberry Canyon Crunch Muffins in my box was a big deal to me!
This muffin is filling, tasty and smells great! I paired mine with a little butter after I warmed it up in the microwave! I'm telling you, You have to try these muffins!
It turns out that I really missed bread! Thank goodness Canyon Bakehouse reminded me of how delicious bread really is! If you have to eat Gluten Free or simply have sworn off Gluten for other reasons, please check out this company! You won't be sorry!
