What began in a small fishing village in Spain in 1887, is now available on supermarket shelf near you. A European tradition of quality, Isabel Tuna is unlike any tuna you’ve tasted before. Simply look on our label and you’ll see the difference right away. There’s one ingredient – tuna. It’s as natural as if you reeled it in out of the ocean yourself. There’s never any broth or fillers, ever. Just 100% tuna. That’s 100% delicious.
Initially I was a little worried about the tuna being in Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I usually purchase my tuna in water. The only different I noticed was the moisture factor. Not one chunk of that tuna was dry. The tuna/fishy flavor was not very strong though. As a non-fish eater, this was perfect for me. So, onto the sandwich making!
- Schar Gluten Free Bread
- 1 can of Isabel Solid Light Tuna in Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 whole dill pickle, chopped in chunks
- 2 Hard boiled Eggs, chopped in chunks
- Mayo and Mustard to taste
- Paprika on top, to taste
This is just your typical Tuna Fish Sandwich, but it works perfect for me. Isabel Tuna comes in many varieties if you don't like the olive oil. Be sure to check them out!

ReplyDeleteI love making tuna fish salad! I use albacore tuna, pickle juice, salt, pepper, chopped onion, chopped bellpepper, lettuce, and mayo. Then I spread it on grilled sourdough bread and cut it into four squares with toothpicks in each, just like my grandmother use to make it for me.
