Wellness asked me to try out two different kinds of dog food for my pups! They sent us CORE: Grain Free Wild Game Formula and Complete Health: Deboned Chicken and Oatmeal Recipe. I switched both dogs over to the CORE Grain Free food first. Of course mixed it with the food they were previously eating. I noticed Lilly would only eat the Wellness food. She was leaving quite a bit of the other food behind for Danny to clean up! I don't think he minded though. More food for him, right?
After just a few days of having the dogs on this food, I have noticed a major change in their bowel movements. They are on a regular schedule and quality is much better! We are seeing the same results with the Complete Health: Deboned Chicken and Oatmeal Recipe too!
A few things I like the best about Wellness are the bag is resealable! I hate when you get a huge bag of dog food but you have to put it in a seal-able container once you get it home because it'll dry out. I also really enjoy that the bags list exactly what is in the dog food. You don't have to worry about GMOs creeping in there or even other random things that you can't pronounce!
The line of treats offered by Wellness is just as awesome as their dog food! We were sent the Well Bites: Turkey & Duck Recipe and two options from their Pure REWARDS line: Chicken & Lamb Jerky and Venison & Salmon Jerky. The Well Bites are perfect to show your dog a little extra love. Lilly and Danny enjoyed this treat out of all 3, as the flavors inside! They have Turkey and Duck, Oatmeal, Blueberries, Flaxseed, Sweet Potatoes, Apples and Carrots!
The pure REWARDS line of treats are perfect to training! They are a little tougher than the Well Bites, but do the trick. My dogs have been known to eat most things, but they enjoyed these treats. Hours after we were finished giving treats for the morning, both dogs were sitting my the cabinet which holds all things dog, waiting patiently for more treats! Of course I gave them a few treats for waiting so nicely!
Now I'd like to introduce you to my protectors! Danny is the large white boy. We believe he is a mix between Yellow Lab and Akita. He is my Gentle Giant, but can be so fierce when it comes to the mailman! Lilly is the medium sized brown/white dog in the video below. We are told by the Vet that she is a Shepard Mix. Lilly is a little more nervous about life than Danny, but we love her so. As Ally has gotten older, I think Lilly has adopted her as her owner, more so than the rest of us.

I haven't heard of this brand, but we just got our dog last month and I want to make sure I feed him good food so that he lives long & healthy.
ReplyDeleteOH I seriously love that the dog food is grain free! We work hard at looking for dog food without corn byproducts in it. It is hard to find sadly. I would love to try this brand out.
ReplyDeleteLooks like good dog food. I think my Rufus would love this
ReplyDeleteI have two dogs and I haven't tried giving this to them yet. Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteMy brother has sworn by Wellness brand since he discovered it a few years ago. His two dogs both loved it as well. The quality of the food showed in the change of their appearance and activity levels, too. Their success with it is what encouraged us to try Wellness brand for our cats, too. :)
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor has a dog who could use this food. She could totally use this; she's quite chubby!
ReplyDeleteI will definitely have to recommend this brand to my parents. They have three dogs.
ReplyDeleteI love a BIG DOG... Little dogs are cute but when I had dogs, they had to be BIG. Grain free dog food is a great thing. I used to have a Bovier De Flanders that had a problem with gluten.
ReplyDeleteI have 3 doggies and they are my life. I'll look into this product bc it's so important for me that they are well fed and healthy!
ReplyDeleteDon't have dogs anymore but know some people who still do and their dogs love this brand!!
ReplyDeleteI know this would have been perfect for my dog, but he died a few years back
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I had a dog! Thank you for the tips though :-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen this brand, maybe my dog would like it. He doesn't like many dog foods.
ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing what a good dog food can do for your dog, I'm sure it has a lot to do with how well Sal still is :) x
ReplyDeletesounds like good stuff we have cats so not sure they want any but i like that there is healthy option for out pets
ReplyDeleteGood stuff for pets! They need some quality loving too!
ReplyDeleteThe food sounds really good. I have two dogs also, a snautzer and a chihuahua. So I need to buy two different dogfoods for them and make sure they get all the nutrients they need.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the review!
I need to check into this, I have to make our dog food as one of ours has digestive issues with store bought foods. Maybe this will work for her.
ReplyDeleteI really wanted a dog but the complex we live in isn't pet friendly. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteLooks good. I guess if you have a dog, you should try to feed them only the best.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of this brand, either. Something to look into though. My Dallas is in need of a new brand. With his age (15+ human years) he's gotten stomach issues so finding something that doesn't disagree with him has been a struggle.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great dog food product. I have two dogs that love to eat, LOL. One 80 lb and one 15 pound. I will check this product out and see if they like it.
ReplyDeleteOur dogs usually have leftovers, since we can't always buy them dog food. This sounds great though
ReplyDeleteIt took us a long time to find a good food for our two one of them is so fussy and the other well lets just say he will eat anything lol, dogs give us comfort love and all that good stuff so they deserve the best we can give them.
ReplyDeleteDogs need protein so the looks very good for dog food.
ReplyDeleteI wish I would of known about this when we had our dog. Looks healthy for pets!
ReplyDeleteI've seen this brand at the stores, but was reluctant to buy for my dogs. I think now I will try it out and see if they will eat it and have better bowel movements. Do they have this for cats as well?
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that this brand focuses on the wellness of pets. A lot of brands don't really offer ingredients that are healthier for pets and I always check since I want the best for my dog.
