You may not know it, but Van’s has been cooking up tasty, good-for-you waffles for almost a half century. It all started back in the 1970s at the original Van’s restaurant. It was there, inspired by our California beachside roots, that we first dished up whole grain and gluten free hot ’n toasty waffles. By the late 1980s, we decided it was time to bring our tasty waffles to a whole new group of customers – right in their local grocery stores.
That same passion for seriously healthy, seriously tasty foods lives on at Van’s today. We value artisanal quality and we cook our products in small, minimally processed batches with always-fresh ingredients. And since we want everyone to be able to enjoy our waffles, we offer gluten free waffles along with organic, mini and our signature 8 Whole Grain varieties.
The original Van’s restaurant may no longer be dishing out waffles on the beach, but we still pack the same sunny Southern California spirit into every product we make. Our only hope is that you’ll enjoy Van’s foods as much as we enjoy creating them.
The Van's Natural Foods sandwich bars sent to us were similar to other sandwich bars I've had before, but these are gluten free. You can tell they are made with oats and packed with fiber! I like that they have a soft outside and are even softer on the inside with the filling of strawberry/blueberry! These bars are perfect to stick inside a lunch bag or grab while you're headed out the door!
The multigrain chips were for sure what I wanted to munch on first! These chips are thin, but crunchy! They are covered with the flavoring too! Sometimes I find a chip that is only covered on one side when eating other brands. That was not the case here! They did break easily but not an issue for me. The flavors are rather delicious too!
As you can see in the video, Van's are a favorite from everyone in the family. Ally enjoys the strawberry and peanut butter sandwich bars, where Cooper prefers the blueberry and peanut butter sandwich bars. My husband and I leaned more toward the chips. Might Good BBQ was my favorite and he enjoyed the Nacho, Nacho, Man the best! We are all pretty luck to be sent one thing each of us prefers! Well done, Van's! And if you're wondering... My husband didn't think these were tasteless!
Van's Natural Foods is helping me have better options for snacks as I get deep into the New Year! I love that these options are sweet and/or salty and can curb my cravings before they get out of hand. With Van's in my kitchen, I know that I will be able to stay on track and hit my weight loss goals before I know it!
Check out Van's online and on social media for more information on their delicious products. Van's can be found in a store near you!
