Getting a Tan with Fake Bake -- Fake Bake Review

As a fair skinned girl I have spent a good portion of my life trying to get a tan.  I have used the tanning beds, tanning lotions that turned my skin orange, laid in the sun and turned bright red, and have covered my body in baby oil on occasion hoping it would help me if I just went outside for a few moments.  This day in age the experts are telling us to get out of the tanning beds and use your sunscreen!  The more spf, the better.  However the more spf, the less tan you are going to get!  C'mon guys!!  I just want to be tan!  If you can relate, you know how excited I was when the company Fake Bake agreed to work with me for a review.  So excited, I tell you!

Fake Bake is committed to using only the highest quality ingredients and tanning actives.  We value our customers and strive to produce tanning products that each one can safely use.
Revolutionary express self-tan liquid which builds to a golden glow within 60 minutes.  The rapid self-tan technology develops the desired tan depth in the quickest time frame for the ultimate, beautiful, natural-looking skin.

The Fake Bake Luxurious Golden Bronze 60 minutes Self-Tan Liquid & Professional Mitt kit has changed my opinions on the tanning lotion industry.  As I mentioned before, most tanning lotions you use will turn your skin orange.  They'll leave your palms with that nasty pumpkin color so people know that your tan is not real!  You'll feel shame!  I no longer feel that shame because of Fake Bake!

The 60 minutes kit comes with your self-tanning liquid, two black gloves and a professional mitt for application.

The directions instruct you to exfoliate before using the product.  I know from past experience that if you do not exfoliate, your tan will not be even and will not stick around.  So, listen to what the product tells you!  As you go to apply the product, always wear the black gloves and the professional mitt.  Spray the tanning liquid on the mitt and apply in a circular motion. Make sure to read the rest of the directions as they are thorough and will help you achieve the best tan possible!   You are told to leave the liquid on for 60 minutes to get a golden tan, two hours for a bronze tan, and three hours for a dark tan.  I chose to leave mine on for the two hours to get a bronze tan.  Bronze tan was what I got, indeed!

After the two hours, I washed the liquid off with water and ended up with this.  I purposely left a line on my thigh so I could show you the difference in color on my skin.  Big difference, right?   After a few days of showering and wearing jeans, I still have the tan!  I will reapply the liquid to even out that line, but you can believe that I am a Fake Bake user from here on out!

I am super excited to have found a product that can help me achieve the tan I have always wanted and keeping my skin healthy at the same time!  Fake Bake has many other options and products to help you get the color you wish for.  Check our their website and look them up on social media.  I love them and I have no doubt that you will too!

  2. When I first tried Fake Bake products I was a bit hesitant because until then I did not have any positive results using products that give you a fake tan. Fake Bake was so much better than the other brands. And I have to totally agree with you...exfoliating before and after is a must when it comes to fake tans.

  3. I have never attempted using a fake tanning product--but then I never went near a tanning bed either!! Of course I am old enough that we did not know the sun was bad in doses large enough to get a natural tan! Wonder if this stuff actually acts as a sunscreen?

    1. The box does say do not use as sunscreen. It does not have any kind of spf in it. So, I would recommend to lather up with some spf before going outside!

  9. I don't go to tanning beds, but I do lay out ALL summer long. I hate when my tan fades in the winter, so I will have to look into this.

  10. I can't be in the sun for 10 minutes or I burn, but... I guess at my age I don't really care if I have a tan or not. My Daughter on the other hand thinks she needs to be tanned. I am going to tell her about this.

Wow.. you can really notice the difference on your skin where you used the Fake Bake.
