A Dance Party with SNOOKNUK -- SNOOKNUK Review

When you have children, it is inevitable that you will at some point in the remainder of your life listen to some form of children's music.  When I say "children's music" I mean songs about manners, how to brush your teeth and sometimes just fun songs about smiling!  I got very excited when SNOOKNUK contacted us at Sweet Cheeks to listen to their cds!  I just knew Ally and Cooper would love them!

SNOOKNUK fosters a world with Imaginative, Excited and Inspired kids.  SNOOKNUK is a brand that is dedicated to creating original and innovative content to make childhood a magical adventure.  We are focused on children’s early development, specifically on teaching important life lessons and basic hygiene.  Through music, creative stories, dance, animation and new technology we can make learning a thrill.

Once Upon A Day:  A Lot More Fun includes songs about listening, never giving up, and being the same as others.  With a 5 yr old and 2 yr old, these songs are helping us be nice to each other.  There are a few times throughout the day that the kids will be teasing each other.  I have started to pull out this CD and let them listen to the music.  By the end of it, we are in full Dance Party mode and have forgotten all about why they were mad in the first place!

My favorite song on this disk is Nice to be Nice.  The lyrics  teach you just what you are told right away in life.  Treat others like you want them to treat you.  I can remember my mom saying this to me as a child and I know I have said it to Allyson a few times.  I love that there is a song to teach this life lesson!

Once Upon A Day: A Little Less Tears includes songs about hygiene, waking up happy, sharing, and calming down from a tantrum.  Sharing is a big lesson we are working on in our house right now.  Cooper has entered the "Mine!" stage, so we sing the song Sharing is Fun after we calm down from being in Time Out from snatching a toy from his sister.

My favorite in this disk is The Tantrum Song.  This is a big one for us right now because Cooper is all about throwing tantrums.  Just turning two a few months ago and he thinks he should run the world.

You can often find myself and the children having a Dance Party in the afternoon.  The kids love to dance to the SNOOKNUK CDs.  I was able to record a few dances!

  2. I love this!! I like that it teaches hygiene, something that is very improtant to me. So many kids are never taught hygiene. Great Christmas gift idea.
