Potty Training with Potty Patrol -- Potty Patrol Review

Potty Training with Potty Patrol!

I've mentioned a few times that we are in the middle of potty training with Cooper.  Boys are so different than girls (or at least in our house) when it comes to potty training!  With Ally, it was like she was just ready one day.  She still has accidents every now and then, or holds it too long and can't make it on time, but overall there aren't too many messes I have to clean up from her.  Cooper on the other hand has given me a challenge!  To assist me with this challenge, I have called in the professionals at Potty Patrol!

Potty Patrol's Potty Training Alarm Diapers are designed to notify you and your child when wetting occurs, so that you can place your child on the toilet immediately. Being placed on the toilet while the event is still fresh in your child’s mind helps them make the connection between cause and effect more quickly and effectively.

The alarm on the Potty Patrol diapers recognizes when your child has urinated and sounds off.  The sound beeps a few times then plays "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" twice.  If you do not tend to your child right away, the alarm will go off again.  This is a great feature for when you aren't in the room and do not hear the alarm the first time!

While we were using the Potty Patrol Alarm Diapers, I felt like Cooper was urinating every 30 minutes.  When he does not have a diaper or pullup on, he holds it for hours!  So, that has created a new challenge. By the end of our trial with our Alarm Diapers, he was making strides in the right way to using the potty rather his diaper.  Strides that included bringing me a new diaper when he did a number 2, and running at me when has done a number 1 in his pull up!  All of these without the alarm to cause a ruckus!

When you are starting to potty train your little, make sure to check the signs to make sure they are actually ready!  It is my personal experience that if you rush your child into potty training, you will not only be potty training FOREVER, you will get very frustrated with the process, causing your little to lose interest!  Here are a few signs to look for:
  • Child is able to stay dry for several hours.
  • Child notices when diaper needs to be changed.
  • Child has learned some potty lingo.
  • Child follows simple instructions.
Most children are ready between the ages of 2 and 3, but of course you should understand every child is different.  Check with the signs and go from there!  To learn more about Potty Patrol, check out their website and social media!

  8. My daughters tried potty patrol and it was not for her. She does pretty good in pull-ups or even panties but after her using these she found out that when she went potty it sang and she thought it was more of a reward.

  17. This ultimate guide to becoming an Potty training expert.
Between Alicia and me, we tried stickers; M&Ms, singing toilets, micro-managing her, and even letting her run around naked for a few hours.
Diaper Pin is a great online resource for cloth diaper reviews.
