Lighting the room with Star Lantern -- Star Lantern Review

Every night, both of my children need a night light.  Most children these days need some form of light shining in their room as they fall asleep.  Sometimes a night light, sometimes a TV, sometimes a parent can get lucky and just leave the door open a crack for the hallway light to shine in.  Since discovering Star Lanterns by Divine Planet, my children don't need the night light anymore.  They choose the festive and ever so pretty lanterns!

Opened in 2004, our bead and import shops are like no others on Kauai. Owners Mike and Sonja McGinnis have long operated an internet wholesale business from Kauai.  We now have two bead and accessories stores to retail their unique brand of imported goods.
Mike decided he needed a new challenge and Sonja had some great ideas for beads, decor and more, so the concept of a store to showcase our range of beads, textiles and accessories on Kauai became a reality.
India has a long history of rich fabrics and tapestries.  We use our wholesale suppliers to come up with exotic, fun and hip products for the home and personal adornment.  Beads, jewelry, and fabrics abound in this exotic Asian country.

We were given the chance to try out two different lanterns. I chose the Purity Swirl Star Light for Ally and the Blue Batik Star Lamp for Cooper. For each lantern you need a hanging lantern cord, light bulb and a way to hang it. You can purchase the lantern cords from Divine Planet for $6.

As you can see, Ally is showing you how the lanterns will arrive at your door. They unfold easily but are quite large!

Along with the star in the package, you will find a sheet that you have to wrap around the cord. They are very easy to assemble. You do want to make sure you read the directions though, as they say to use a 40 watt light bulb.

After you put it all together and get the correct light bulb, you insert the bulb and cord into the lantern.  Tie the lantern and hang it up!  See, I told you!  Assembly is very easy!

When our Star Lanterns were all put together and on, I couldn't stop looking at them!  They're so pretty!  My favorite one is the blue.  I think I favor it because of the dark color contrast.

Divine Planet's lanterns would be perfect for so many occasions.  These would love beautiful in a back yard, at a wedding, or even just like I've mentioned in the corner of your child's room!  To find the right lantern for you, check out Divine Planet's website and on social media!

  1. I love Star Lanterns. I use to have 3 of them but after so long they wore down. But they did last almost a year!

  6. The Purity Swirl Star Light turned out beautiful and will make a great night light. We just gave our grandson a flashlight for his room when he gets up at night, but this might work better.
