This whole month we have all seen why people are thankful. After speaking to my sister blogger, Teresa at Sassy Mom 2 Spoiled Bratz... We decided that we would put everything we are thankful for right in one spot for you to read. I urge you to keep in mind these are in no order after a certain point! I hope you enjoy.
First and foremost, I am thankful for my Husband. He has not only been by my side through so many events in the last 10 years, but he has helped me discover the real person I am. He works so hard to support our family. I am truly the blessed one in our marriage. I love you, baby!
Allyson - My first born and Mini-me! This little basket of attitude and love makes me so proud to be a Mom. She keeps me on my toes with her silly jokes and random dances throughout the day. I am so thankful that she was who my husband and I made 5 years ago.
Cooper - My 2nd born and husband's Mini-me! This little guy is so spunky and silly! To be his Mom means so much. I look forward to the next 80 years of watching him grow and develop into his own person. He has such a kind heart! I am thankful to be just a small part of him!
Fluffy Socks - I am thankful for good fluffy socks! Socks that keep your feet warm and make you feel all fuzzy inside at the same time! They truly bring a smile to my face.
Mom - I am thankful for my Mom. She helped me learn who I needed to be, how to be a Mom, how to be a friend, and most importantly how to enjoy life.. no matter what is thrown at you! I am thankful that I was able to spend the first 29 years of my life with her. I am only sorry it was only 29 years and not 80. I Miss you and Love you Mom.
Dad - My dad has always been someone who I watched to judge how to act around people. I learned so much from his moods and respect he gives people. Respect Your Elders! I am thankful for the ethics and love he showed me throughout the years! I love you, Daddy!
My Brother - My brother, my best friend.. I am thankful for being the 3rd born, after my brother. I am thankful for the times we laugh so hard that I pee myself. I am thankful for the long, tight hugs I get from him. I am thankful for his perspective on things and his help to get me through to the next stage. I Miss you and Love you!!
My Sister - We haven't always been best friends, but she always manages to give me a good laugh. A person to sit with if I need a movie companion or just to hang out! We could talk about books for hours and I am so thankful that I have gotten to know her as we are both adults and out of the pissy teenage years of life!
Mother-in-Law - My Mother-in-Law is such a fantastic person. She has welcomed me into her family and made me feel like I belong. She gave me her son and for that I am honored to be a part of her family. She is always there if I need to talk or share a good joke with. Funny lady, I tell you! I am so thankful that she was the person inside that house with my husband took me home to meet his family.
Sisters-in Law - I have 2 of these wonderful girls! These ladies have let me feel like I am a friend and big sister. Being the control freak that I am, this was a big thing for me at first! Helping them fix problems and stay over during holidays. I am blessed to have these 2 girls as my little sisters and friends.
Pasta - Pasta makes me happy. It makes me feel so good... Its warm, mushy, delicious... Who wouldn't be thankful for pasta?
Photographs - I am thankful to have so many photographs because sometimes my memory isn't enough. I can look at moments right after my children were born, that moment when I was about to be knocked down by a wave as a little girl, and photos of my family.
Candles - So pretty and smell so good! :)
My Doctor - My new doctor has truly saved my life and for that I will forever be thankful. She listed to me when I told her I didn't feel right. She ran the right tests and has started me down the right path to fixing me. She may have taken delicious things like bread, chocolate and ice cream from me... but its for my own good, right?
Great Aunt - My great aunt let me in and shown me such great love. We only physically see each other every few years, but she is a wonderful person and I am thankful to have her as part of my family!
This Blog and YOU GUYS! - I am so thankful that you are stopping by to read this little post! Starting this blog just a few short months ago has helped me figure out who I really am and want to do with my day. I enjoy bringing you product reviews and giveaways. I enjoy letting you into my life and I am so thankful that you make a small piece of yours.
The Companies I get to work with! - I am so thankful for the companies that I have had the opportunities to work with since starting this site. They have taken a chance to letting us work with them, and we are forever thankful for them. They've helped us get off our feet and running so fast. THANK YOU!
Friends at home in Kansas - This group of friends dates back to when I was 5 yrs old. I met a little girl in Kindergarten and we have been friends since. This group also includes someone I've only known for 2 years. Two other girls that I met in elementary school that I never thought would be helping me wipe tears and creating smiles so many years later. They're always ready with a glass of wine as well! They truly keep me stressed and feeling loved at the same time! I miss you guys.
My Sister Blogger: Teresa - Although we've only known each other a few months, it seems like years! Teresa has helped me get my blog even better than I imagined, so quickly! I am thankful that she puts up with me daily and is always there to help me squash any blogger problem I may have!
Ponytail holders - Without these little elastic bands, I would forever have hairs tickling my face. I am sure I would be rather cranky too.
Good Hand Lotion - I have dry hands over the winter and I am so thankful for hand lotion!
My iPhone - I am so thankful for my phone. It keeps me connected to my family and keeps the children busy while I am spending hours in the grocery store trying to save every cent I can!
The Color Purple - The Color, not the movie! :) This color brings warmth to my heart making me think of home, and my mother. The fabulous football team that it brings to mind and how you feel when you wear it! Who doesn't love PURPLE?!? Go Cats!
My smelly dogs - Lilly and Danny smell so bad! Corn chips, eggs, and even sometimes wet dog, but they make me feel safe. I am thankful that Lilly came home to us after that long 6 months while she felt it necessary to run around town. Danny's mean bark scares everyone that comes to the door. Its kind of fun to watch the mail man jump every day!
A Good Pen - You know what I'm talking about.. When you find that one pen that writes so nicely that you get so possessive over it. Don't steal my pen! I'm thankful for those kinds of pens!
Books - I am thankful for the authors of the books that help me get lost inside other's lives and stories. The connections I somehow make with characters and scenes where I've never been amaze me. I am thankful for such greatness!
Spaghetti Sauce - ahh, yes.. Spaghetti Sauce... I need spaghetti sauce to go with my pasta.. so yes, I am thankful for spaghetti sauce too!
Traditions - Traditions allow up to continue the best of the years, over and over again. I am thankful that I have always been a part of such family traditions and I am able to pass them onto my children. Even though we are 1800 miles away from everyone we love, we will have the turkey and the ham on the table today. This is something that has helped me form so many memories over the years and will continue for many years to come.
I am truly blessed to be able to bring this list to you. Some of it is silly and some very emotional. There are many that are not as luck as I. We try to give back whenever we can and hope those without can find a great place to be and feel as blessed as I am today. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. Thank you for stopping by!
